Customer Service Rep named "Linda"

So I called a company's CS department and after waiting on hold for a while I was connected to a woman with a distinct accent. She introduced herself, but it sounds like "blah blah blah omma-blah" to me, so I introduced myself and asked for her name. Not quite making it out, I asked her to spell it: l-i-n-d-a.

Indian reps with American names? As if the accent didn't give it away, the name is suppose to make the whole process easier?

Dell instructed its reps to give American names and not reveal their location.

Foreign doctors have been doing that in the states for years. You go see Dr. Sam Jones and find out his real name is Akksam Joneksjar. Now I always ask where they went to school and what their favorite NFL team is.
