Well mine is almost 6 months old and jesus she does the same thing all the time!!! This is my first dog as an adult and I swear that dog makes me happier than seeing a Viper n my garage.....
My female German Shep is about 12 years of age. And she still plays like a pup pie. I have to throw the Frisbee low or she will still jump high and catch it. (Her landings are not that great)
However, I have to exercise precaution with playing her too much. She will get very very sore for a whole week if she over does it on any given weekend.
The vet told me that the swimming really helped her out.
Her entire life she has been on the boats. She gets off the boat, finds a stick, and then finds kids. Plays fetch in the water non stop for days at a time.
An incredibly well trained, well manor-ed great girl.

And yes, I am proud of her.
Haha, my dog does all of that also, especially the boating, finding a stick then the kids to play with part, except mine's a male
Yeah is hind legs are starting to get weak also and I have to regulate his excersize

Ron, for some reason I imagine it would go a little something like this?...
"Laura, why don't you come in for a while (Sorry Ron, I hope you don't mind, but of course I am driving ), together we can sip some Dom, you can get into something a bit more comfortable, and far more revealing, I'll light some candles, we can watch Rebell chasing his tail, maybe relax while we view a video...or how about make one?" I am sure ROCK STAR can work with this scenario
