How would the viper fair against a porche......

Porche 996....anybody have any good info on this car? How would the viper fair against this 996. Anyone ever race one in their Viper?

that car is a DOG! i test drove one, and walked b/c it was so slow. you should walk it....

could you be a bit more vague? All of the current porsches save for the boxter and cayanne are 996's. The GT2 is fair competition tho it is more than twice the price. With that said I would take a GT2 over a GTS anyday.

I would not take the Kraut over the Viper. The GT2 is a badassed ride, but damned if the only really standout model I've seen from Porsche lately is the CGT.

I didn't realize all current porches exceept the boxters and suv's were 996's? I just know a friend who bought an 03 996 (that's all that I was told) and I thought...hmmm, I wonder how I would stack up against it. So, all the current GT's are 996's?

p.s. who puts a ford as an avatar on a viper site?

Pulled a 996TT barely when I was stock. Good looking car and a serious one as well, but I would buy 2 vipers for 1 of those.

A GT2 was 2 car lengths faster then my RT from 60-160 mph
