I've had to do a bunch of soul searching on whats best for the next house and the sale of the Viper. I can do it w/o selling the car, however if I want to act fast on the house, it needs to go
I drove it today, top off. It was like 70 and clear blue skies. Uggg.. it felt so good. The hoots and hollars from people, the waves. The vietnam vett stopping to talk to me about the "shelby colors" of the car and his history with cars.
Then when I get home... the final stake through the heart. A 16 year old and his mother drive past my house, do a 180 and come back around. the kid is EXTATIC and the mother (from detroit) is an avid car fan. I dunno who was enjoying it more.. him or his mom I took a photo of him in the car, and he was just grinning from ear to ear.
...this is so PAINFULL! Seriously... selling a car has NEVER been this diffcult for me I didn't realize how attached I had become to the car. It's like trying to sell a family memeber man
But, it has to happen.. and **I WILL** buy another car when my house is finished. Untill then.. i'm going to be one depressed mother fucker
..I fell like complete shit.
Years ago, I had to liquidate my '68 Hemi Charger & '69 440-6 Road Runner & all of my parts to get enough money & upgrade to a better house & neighborhood. I owned that Charger for 14 years & it meant an awful lot to me. The Road Runner was the best car to date that I restored. I miss both of them, but in the long run, for me, it WAS worth it.
Your Viper is only a toy & it can be replaced. Do what's right for you now.
Sorry to hear it. I know how you feel. I sold mine last year. It didn't hurt as bad as I thought. Losing my 71 440 6 pak convertible Cuda kinda hurt though.
Its just another car. You can buy a faster one later. Especially you Maxx (James). You have tons of cars. You go through them fast. You are acting like someone who had this baby through high school or something.
They are so many garage queens out there that you'll be able to pick up a low mileage for thousands less than what your selling yours for in a few years.
