Just watched Open Range again....
Has anyone else seen it? What a good flick. Costner's character is too cool, and Duvall is great. I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it.

Charlie Postulwaite? Yep, he's a badass for sure. Boss Spearman's cool too.
I've seen it about 10 times now.

Re: Just watched Open Range again....
I have two DVD's. One for the 4B (thanks Smackie) and one for Southfork. I still haven't tired of watching it.
My favorite part? When Boss Spearman has chloroformed all those guys in the jail and he comes back in the morning 'sawing' on that fiddle asking if they're ready for breakfast! You gotta love that! You know that fiddle sounded great with the horrible chloroform hangovers those boys had! My favorite part is when the guy takes Annete Benning hostage and Charlie doesn't even hesitate taking him out. The just for good measure he pumps a few more rounds into the guy.
The first shot in the forehead when they are all standing in the middle of town is pretty cool too. "You the one that shot Mose?" BANG!

Yeah, both of those parts are cool. Especially the part where he nails Butler (the gunhand that killed Mose)!
I also liked the livery guy. He said it was that "damned cuban ceegar what got him all riled up".

I caught this one over the weekend. It's definitely a multiple view movie. I may watch again this weekend.
I have to agree. Both of the parts above were great. That first shot is just the embodyment of a badass. No excess talking, no hesitation, and no fear. It was beautiful.
I also love the first quote you listed - "Some men are going to die today, and I'm going to kill them" The way it is delivered will make it a classic.

I watched it again before I fell asleep last night. It keeps getting better.
The proper quote is "Men are going to get killed today, and I'm going to kill them". Classic.
Paul, Percy's cuban cigar line is a beauty as well.

Sit, eagerly awaiting the ass beatings that are soon to be handed out. Payback is a wonderful thing.

Yep, it's pretty slow for the first hour. It definitely makes up for it in the last hour. (or at least I think it does)

I don't find any parts of it slow. The dialogue is awesome, and the character development is crucial to the endind.

Re: Just watched Open Range again....
Saw it at the theater and loved it. Now you fuckers made me go out and buy the DVD tonight at Best Buy. And here I am trying to cut back on all the damn DVD's I buy. Then they had 2 other movies for only $5.99 with some hot chicks on the cover. So I bought them too.
