My Viper is worth 300K

After watching the Barret Jackson Auction,I'm convinced that in 30 years my 97 GTS(Blue and White) will be worth 300 large.This is based in the rareity of the car,the short production numbers,and the color combo.

Based on the barret jackson combo, if you change the engine to something non-original then it will be worth more

Yep, put it up on blocks, never drive it again, put it in one of those special see through inflatable bags and you maybe right, but you will be without the use of it for 30 years.

They NEVER mention how many miles are on the cars,unless it's some insanely low number.Just the fact that it is what it is should make it a very valuable car.I know it has to do with the economy at the time but hell,even then the fact that it was owned by ME should make the value skyrocket.

I've seen production numbers on all Vipers but can't seen to locate the source right now.I did a search at the Morgue and couldn't find the info........HELP

Barraet Jackson reams the seller and buyer of their auctions. My opinion is that people buy cars there for ego's sake.

Just a thought on ROI

Say you could find a great B/W for 50k today.
That same 50K invested at just 7%(stocks have averaged 12+% and even the right whole life policy will average 8+ with death benifit)Will be worth 400K in 30 years, at 10% your 50K would turn into almost 1 million bucks.

Plus if you count the cost of maintaning and perhaps insuring the car over the coarse of 30 years the investment(using the 300K figure) is behind most inflationary indexes. So in essence you are loosing money.

That $195K Cuda was cherry- I still can't believe it went that high. I guess it's celebrity status makes the $50k difference over the green one

you're talking about color combos.. all 50,000 vettes werent the same color.. apples = apples
