Tried to take the DMV motorcycle driving test this morning...

And the fuckers got me to drive 1/2 hour in 20 degree WINDCHILL (about 50 deg. out) temperatures... I had to get up BEFORE 9 a.m

. for pete's sake!

I get to the DMV and had to wait in line for about 1/2 hour [img]/images/graemlins/hiFU[/img] for my name to get called. I go up to the counter and said I had an appointment scheduled for 10:00 AM today for a driving test. They looked at there sheet and didn't see my name on they're and said they couldn't take me[img]/images/graemlins/shocked[/img]. I was at 1/2 rage and poor lady was looking up at me like a broken puppy [img]/images/graemlins/carrot[/img].. The old lady sheepishly said OK and I get on my bike and this old guy comes out

to the rear of the building where the road course is setup. He inspects my Hayabusa hands me a peice of paper and said I failed. I was like "WHAT THE FUCK MAN!?" He said my rear tire was unacceptable. I was at 3/4 roid rage at this point.... [img]/images/graemlins/supergrin.gif[/img]

I got off my bike and looked the rear wheel (2,500 miles on it) and it had a small slit in it probably about 1/8 long. Kind of looked like a ran over a bottle cap. It was so minor... [img]/images/graemlins/upyours[/img]

So I head back into the office, make another appointment for tomorrow all while at full rage on the poor ladies and now the old guy walks in. He keeps saying "dont' give me a hard time".. I tell him he needs to get a life and quit wasting my time, etc, etc, etc and he doesnt' know his ass from his elbow".., etc, etc..

I get back to my house at 11:00 clock. Had to go out and spend 200 bucks on a rear tire I didn't fucking need and had to get in installed. It's finally done and I just picked it up and it's 5:00... AND I just spent nearly $ 800 on Kumho's yesterday so in the last 2 FREAKING DAYS I've spent over 1,000 on RUBBER... #$#**$##@).. FULL RAGE.. (#)$#()@#@

I have an appointment tomorrow. Same instructor... I'm fucked.. [img]/images/graemlins/moon3[/img]

that does suck! i think i've only gone one time to the DPS/DMV with out any problems or b.s. every farking time i go, something is missing or the line is 5 hours long and blah blah blah.

What does the testing facilty riders area look like? The one in Louisville is about the size of a small driveway with many cones and sand everywhere.

The first time I took it (my 16th birthday) my father made me ride a fully dressed big as shit Susuki RE-5 Rotory powered touring bike.

I remember getting off my XL500 and hearing the guy say, now go through the course without stopping. And Im thinking... Oh Shit.. I know how fast I have to go if I don't want this beast falling on me and I see the sand, and its real tight...

And so it happened.

When I went to the DMV for my paper test, they sent me back home 4 times becasue each time I asked, "Is this is all the paper work I need?", they "forgot" to inform me of some other critical piece of paperwork I needed to bring back. So I rode back and forth 4 times to get it done. No wonder the government is percieved the way it is. If they can't get the most simple things done efectively and efficiently, how are they running the rest of the country?

At my riding test It was me, a group of like 50 people, and the sherriff. They just made us ride through the course and when we came to the finish line we were to have our paperwork ready in our pocket. He stamped everyone's permit PASSED! There were guys that missed more than two cones and put their feet down more than twice. Basically all we had to do was not fall down and he passed you. How do you like your Busa? It seems too wide and heavy compared to the R1, which is what I ride. What does everyone else ride? Jason

Yes they do, but it's over the weekend and takes about 12 or 16 hours and I'm too freakin' lazy. [img]/images/graemlins/smiles[/img]

I ride a CBR 929. I'm thinking of picking up a 2004 Busa this spring, because I don't have enough toys....

Anybody in San Diego that rides that is on here?

I'd ridden dirt bikes since 14. Decided to get the MC licese when I moved to MA. Was practicing on the Honda Shadow 800. Light bike, but the seat sits very low. So I decided to have a change. Did the exam on the cavalcade. Last part of exam was to power stop the bike infront of the instructor.

Had me steer straight at him as fast as I could from 30 yards. Pushed him back at least 10 feet. He still passed me for some reason.
