Re: Pics of New SnapOn Lift...
Believe it or not - that sits in between my stainless ramps and goes up to nine feet...
This week everything should be done - then I'll get a normal pic...

So you mean it weighs 2,000lbs? Must be since the snake is 3,200, I guess...

Re: Pics of New SnapOn Lift...
How wide will all of that be with the ramps on each side? Is is a scissor lift? Any links to more info on it? That's very interesting. I've never seen one of those before.

Once I get the ramps cut into the racedeck and my cars back in a week or two - you'll get tired of my pics...
The unit was $2,999.
I see it listed on snapon's site for 3,500 - I was able to have Archer's order for me from their local snapon dealer up there and get a discount...

Archer uses something like that at the track. They work like a charm, and they're, uh, portable!

Re: Pics of New SnapOn Lift...
Yeah - the motor unit is on a device that doubles as a hook that lift the front plate up just a little - and then two steel wheels tucked under the two back pins...
They don't have one like this one - this is the new model - but they do have several of the old models... Works slick...
That is where I got the idea to do this - at a ViperDays race last year... It just looked too slick and compact - much much much better than getting a huge lift and taking up garage space...
That black steel on top has a thick layer of hard rubber on it as well - to protect the car and let you lift in specific places. Then I had them weld a metal bar on the ramps - that way I'll always stop in the same place - know the lift can be used without lining it up...
Everything is just sitting in the garage waiting for me to do something... My garage gets heated on Monday - so once heated - then I will spend some time out there and get everything ready for the arrival of my cars...
