Re: So who still does not have their shopping done???
I'll be finishing mine tonight after work. Every year I tell myself to get it done early, and every year I end up going the last 2 days before X-mas! Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I did most everything via Amazon.com. It was great to have everything delivered to your door. We made a few excursions just for the fun of it, but I'm not too comfortable around hordes of raving lunatic buyers, so internet shopping worked out perfectly.
Still wonder what the wife got me?

I am starting tonight. Everywhere is going to be a mess, but I will have it done within a couple hours hopefully.

A couple of years ago, both my family and my wife's family decided to eliminate gifts from the holidays. We were focusing too much on the gifts. (We still buy gifts for the kids, but not for any adults.)
Now we get together, have a nice meal, visit, and talk. No gifts eliminates all the hassle associated with shopping this time of year too! Far fewer headaches for everyone. :bonk:

You know what started this no-gift-policy? One year we bought a bunch of gift certificates for our families, and they bought gift certificates for us too. We were passing them back and forth like playing cards. It just dawned on all of us how silly the whole process was!
