Woke up at 5am to find my house at 52degrees. My furnace's glow plug blew, and I've got no spares. Family friend who installed it came out for free and showed me the plug..said a bug or something got on it, because it fried the damn thing.
So, I am without heat until monday. Luckily, I have the fireplace going and it's keeping my livingroom toasty. As I'm typing this, the office is 38degrees, and it's rainy/icy outside I'll be camping in the livingroom tonight.
Better put your faucets on slow drizzle so your pipes don't freeze.
It was a brutal ~70 and sunny here today - had to take the Viper for a spin just for all the guys here who can't.

Ditto...temp wise...still haven't got the RT out...
The heat is gas, but it's a pilot-less burner system. Which means, if the glowplug goes, then the failsafe will not allow the fans (electric) to run.
Water is electric (setup for gas as well), and that works fine..soo hot water is available.
The guy that did our install is a family friend, and has done the HVAC on the houses my wifes' father builds. He came out for free, and is replacing the part for free... so it's all good
Last time, we lost electricity. Which means no water, HVAC or light. That sucked... 5 days in the dark when we got hit with the ice storm here last year around this time.
