IM question (Hey MP...)

I'm looking for an IM style comm app that only uses internal network traffic (IE: no AIM or other). Has to also have a client for a Mac (Linux distro works).

So far, not much luck. Doesn't have to be fancy. Really don't feel like writing one, but I may have to :/

None of those are stand-alone. Also has to have a PC client (as it's a mostly PC dominated domain, with 2 linux boxes and 3 macs).

I'll figure something out.

A good portion of those are PC as well.

I highly doubt you will find a cross platform, ethernet only messenger.

Doesn't norvell have a message feature? I know we used to play around with it in highschool. I wasn't brave enough to do it at work and end up sending the message to everyone at work.

You could set up an internal IRC server couldn't you?
