Remember california rule number 1... You don't want to have any heavy objects on the walls surrounding your bed. It would be a really bad thing if that nice bookshelf came tumbling down on you when you are asleep and that nasty 5.5 quake hits...
First earthquake I felt was in NY. Then two years ago in Athens greece. I bugged out. I was with my wife ready to board onto a ferry boat with car. I swear I seen the concrete pier buckle like a wave. I freaked out. One of the scariest 10 seconds in my life. The eye of the earth quake was about 20 miles away. It was a 6.8
i was almost killed during a little 4.1 when i was living in LA.. it only lasted a few seconds, but i was in compusa in culver city when the quake hit... all i heard was a boom and then 19 inch computer monitors came tumbling down at me from where they were top stocked in the aisles...
Well, The epicenter was a few hour away, and I still felt it. I don't want to ever feel a California earthquake. Too scary, and yes I guess I am a wimp when it comes to earthquakes.
