Earthquake!
4.5 scale just about an hour ago.... funny thing, was sitting here with headphones on and at first thought kids were getting rowdy - then I wondered if I had the shakes or something as my desk was shaking.
But, I'm okay - I know you were all concerned....

Aint that the truth. I'm not sure if that would even wake me up if I were sleeping. I miss so many earthquakes around here.

Re: Earthquake!
I can't even notice 4.5 anymore - the last 5.5 didn't even budge me.
Glad you made it through that MP!

Re: Earthquake!
I didn't feel it here. My broken foot was hurting and I had taken a pain pill earlier, so I wasn't feeling just about anything.

It's like a hurricane but different. BTW, since I moved from Florida, I forgot what a hurricane was. What was it again?

Re: Earthquake!
My sister-in-law came back to Ohio after Northridge. She loved California, but a big earthquake was more than she wanted to endure.

That one was really bad. I remember it. People felt that one for a long way out. Terrible devastation. That was a serious quake.

My dad lived in Northridge but was in
PR for an extended vacation so I had to go to his townhome and check it out. There was NOTHING still standing and not a window that didn't break. I had to stay there 5 days to button it up and watch for looters and wait for power to be restored. It was a scary 5 days after being rattled by the big one then having to endure all the aftershocks.
