New industrial park
Greenville (where I live) is building a new automotive research park. BMW/Clemson will have a big presence there. It will also contain some type of new bigass wind tunnel.
What's cool is bigdogs such as IBM and Microsoft will be creating some new operations here. I learned today that Formula One teams will be using the facilities for aero testing and other things (sweeeet). NASCAR will of course be here too.
"Clemson wants to put the park on Interstate 85 south of Greenville. It would include a $40 million wind tunnel, a chassis testing facility, a tire and wheel testing lab and a 3-mile test track. The university has received $10 million from BMW toward the project."
Bunch of other things. Pretty kick ass, the place will be HUGE. Thought I'd share.
