Re: PacketJunkie

PayPal screwed me over - I will NEVER use them again - EVER. They are an unregulated back - like it or not. They can and do sieze money from your personal bank account if you have it linked in and they have a reason to take it. They reserve the right to be judge, jury and executioner on any funds they sieze and sometimes you just wont see them again - ever. There are multiple lawsuits against them and a class action too.

Everyone says "I dunno I never had a problem" but if and when you do, there is NOTHING you can do about it. And forget about disputing the charge on your CC, you gave up that right when you signed up for PayPal. If you do it anyway they will fight tooth and nail and most likley your request for a chargeback will be denied.

Re: PacketJunkie

I've known about the other site for a while and am aware of the problems alot of people have had. But, overall, PayPal processes the majority of their transactions without a problem. I don't know of a suitable replacement that would be any better and the cost and time of setting up our own processing system is significant. Th eonly other solution is to make people send me a check - and thats not very "automated" compared to our current system which has processed prozens of transactions without a hitch.

Thanks for the heads-up, I'm always interested in alternatives; too bad I don't know of any that could do a better job.

I use PayPal soley for my business, and never had a problem. (Besides the guy ripping me off for all of my code, but that's an old story)
