New Towers at Ground Zero

They said that there are two designs right now to make the replacement towers the two tallest buildings int eh world. These buildings are now considered to be "finalists" in the plan to redevelop ground zero. The final plan will be picked at the end of hte month.

Good for them, but I don't agree with all the "hallowed ground" feelings. It’s not unusual to relocate gravesites or build over burial grounds.

I say build the biggest buildings anyone has ever seen.

Buildings so big they take your breath away when you see them.

I would say build a small sacred memorial on the site but that's it.

A special place to remember the past but not a place where you have to relive it every time you see it.

I agree - build them bigger and taller - is the best way to show we will not back down.

Big as you can make them with a beautiful memorial park in between. And anti-aircraft cannon on the roofs.

This is all well and good,guys,but how many of you have ever fought a fire in a high-rise building? It took those FDNY guys an hour climbing up stairs with 100 lbs. of gear to reach only the 40th floor. And when you get there,you get to go to work!!! I'm not saying that we should'nt do something to show those pond-scum sonsabitches exactly what we are made of,but 110 story buildings are never a good idea from a fire and rescue standpoint IMHO!
