American Racing Headers Tested On Stock 2006 Coupe

Ok, took a while but we received all the parts and BLUE BATMOBILE's 2006 VOI9Coupe.

!st let me say again. THe fit and finish of these headers was AGAIN perfect. NIck even made a stud kit to ease the install of the flange gaskets. They went in like a dream.

Any way..... here is a video link of the stock run..Out of 4 runs this was the highest run. Degrees was 73.1f outside and this was SAE corrected 448 hp and 470tq

here is the video link:

Next we ran the full American Racinh Headers with the 1 3/4 pipes and high flow cats, also a corsa. Results were good but we didnt think it would makes its best numbers with the 1 3/4. Results out of 3 pulls was a best of 462HP and 490 TQ. Remember no tuning just adding exhaust.

here's the video link:

Next and final was the stepped 1 5/8 top. We were extremely happy with this setup. It made a consisitant """470hp and 514 torque"""". The torque across the curve was huge, still with no air intake or tuning.. I had trouble uploading the video but will post it later today with the before and after dyno sheets overlayed.

ONCE AGAIN: Awesome products nick.

Coming soon latest video and dyno sheet

I would really like to see the results with some tuning. The already impressive 44lbs of torque is a huge gain. Congrats Todd

Here's the before and after Dyno graph. Remember no tuning done or even air intake. This is straight pull off exhaust, put on the American racing stuff and then on the dyno we went.

and here the final dyno pull:

If anybody is thinking headers, you won't be disappointed. We really felt a huge seat of the pants difference without even tuning!!!

We can also offer these systems at UNBEATABLE pricing and of course offer complete installation.

American Racing makes great products for other vehicles, so nice to see them have offerings for the Viper. Car sounded great, and I was never really a fan of Corsa either.

Let's see.. you gained 22hp max including the added hi flows cats and Corsa.. ? Okay I guess - then again the OE 2008 manifolds are very efficient.

My homemade H pipes on cars still using OE manifolds consistently make +20hp above what the cat delete alone yields on the Gen 2s. No one ever seems to believe it, but that's okay, my ETs over .2 sec quicker.

I'm not knocking this particular brand - just haven't seen much that out does my $100 worth of tubing

I'm onto better exhaust designs now-still using OE manifolds and rear muffler.

ETs are gonna drop this Summer

Todd, Thanks for taking the time to conduct these tests. I realize the effort involved and I greatly appreciate your time spent. I'm glad it all worked out like it should have. Now convince your customer to tune his ride. The results should drastically improve.

Nick
