A.R.T. Twin Turbo

Last Thursday evening Cody, David, Matt, Chris and Monty from A.R.T. brought me my TT Viper for the TX2K8 races. I proceeded, with the help of F8LSNK in his car and Boost Almighty (Riding Shotgun with Shotgun) to rack up close to 400 miles driving around Houston that night (Thank you guys very much). I was running on no boost and the base tune. Friday morning Justin (Tuning Concepts) tweaked the tune and David showed me how to turn up the boost and have some fun. My goals were a 850 hp car that I could take my wife to a nice dinner and then run out to the strip for a few runs before we had to get back for the babysitter. Cody & Dave picked out the GT 4094 turbos to accomplish the task. The work they did was beautiful and the 5" exhaust tips really complete the package. Still need to do a little tweaking to the engine bay bling & a race tune. I will let them post pictures of the ARTwork underneath, as I didn't get any.

I had a Roe before and loved the hard 2k-4.5 K rpm hit. The TT pulls just as hard between 2k-4k, but the shit eating grin comes on as the car pulls hard from 4k-6K rpms.

As this past Saturday was my 2nd time to the track, my goals were pretty simple 1) regardless of my time, make it around in one piece to pick-up my timeslip 2) get some seat time in. My best pass was an 11.43 @ 135 missing 3-4 shift. I could never get a clean 3-4 shift, will get it next time. At the end due to time restraints, I made 3 back to back passes and never saw much over 190 degrees. I was running on Kuhmo street tires, need to get some drags and eventually work up to slicks. I guess I have the most powerful 11.4x car in the world.

The customer service and attention to details that ART puts into their work is phenomenal. I couldn't be any happier with my build. This past weekend it was great having the crew there to support me, also great to know that they will be at most big Texas & national events and I will always have a "pit crew". Good, honest group of guys. The car has far exceeded my expectations, and I am up to 750 miles on the new build and can't get enough of driving the car.

THANK YOU A.R.T.

Thanks to Tiago for the pic.

Check out the bodacious cannons on the back of the car. (Is it allowable to use the word bodacious & it not refer to tig ol bitties?)

Big thanks to Boost Almighty for helping me stage and offering some great advice. Nice to have met you and I greatly appreciate all you did this weekend.
