Let's be honest; we aren't in a War now, we're Nation Building. We've got our troops working as a police force to keep them from killing each other.
Bush claims that adding to the child healthcare fund is a "budget buster" - the $35 billion program (over 5 years) is about $10 or so billion more than he asked for; yet, on the heals of a partial $50 billion funding program for the War, this program to benefit OUR CHILDREN here at home is a "budget buster". Any wonder why programs to benefit our own people are budget busters when we're spending a trillion dollars rebuilding Iraq? How far would a trillion in spending have gone here domestically to help our own people out of poverty?
Not only did the vast majority of you not ask the right questions, you were willing to be blindly led down the wrong path and label anyone who didn't see it your way a traitor (or worse).
Make no mistake, Bigs, Iraq will not be an ally once we leave. We'll rebuild and then be kicked out by the Iran-backed majority which will make a mockery of our vision for a democratic and "free" Iraq. How ironic will it be after all the fire and brimstone talk about needing democracy in the Middle East if we leave a country in the hands of radical clerics who impose laws even more repressive than under Saddam?

You're preaching to the chior MP, I've been on this rollercoaster ride with you from the start, except I've always believed GWB was/is an inept idiot
But this is one situation where I get no satisfaction saying "I told you so"
