It's way too late to discuss WHY we are there.
We are there and I think it's just a start to what's to come. It's possible that we are setting up shop there to have a staging area for the Wars to come. Iran being next, of course.

The World is truely Fucked up over there. And we've got to knock them the fuck out of any position to hurt us over here.

I agree the Bin Laden needs to be hung in front of the entire World, for all to see. I think we are being too nice to Pakistan, and we should have already invaded any area that we believe he may be in. We need to get him.

My worry is that the Next President may just turn his back and walk away from all of this. That's the worse case senerio IMO.
