I think alot of the problem has to due with people thinking we could be in and out in a couple years.

I have believed all along that We will not know the actual outcome of this War for 10, 15, or even 25 years.

You asked why are we still there?
We are protecting our Country from another 9-11. Or something much worse. We are protecting our children's future. We are showing the rest of the World that we will go after them if they are a threat to our Country.
I agree with you on some points, a lot of people are impatient and the way the area is set up it's going to be damn near impossible to just find these bastards walking down the streets. They're in mountains, caves, everywhere. Not to mention the country's at war with itself; the population is split on half hating America and the other half welcoming us.

The part where I disagree with you is why we are there. Although terrorism is a very real threat, we could go after other countries with terrorists in them. Saudi Arabia has terrorists too, and we're not on the best of terms with them either.

When you look at the facts, it's such a hard thing to stop because it's everywhere. There are new cells forming constantly all over the world.

As much as I hate to jump on the bandwagon, I think we're over there for oil. That's a huge export of theirs, we saw the country's political and economic turmoil as an advantage and a reason for us to go over there, get in, and take over. Not to mention, it sets us up nicely in the middle east once we're in there.

I'd really like to believe it's for other reasons, but there's more to it than what they're saying.
