It takes a Lonnnnngggg time to go into a country, blow it up, rebuild it and establish a government.
I think alot of the problem has to due with people thinking we could be in and out in a couple years.

I have believed all along that We will not know the actual outcome of this War for 10, 15, or even 25 years.

You asked why are we still there?
We are protecting our Country from another 9-11. Or something much worse. We are protecting our children's future. We are showing the rest of the World that we will go after them if they are a threat to our Country.
