If Dodge had said okay to towing with the 2004 trucks, they would have been replacing about...oh....2004 clutches that first year. 
Even with the 2005, you should be careful while towing. Be smart and you shouldn't have any problems.

2004 = 4:10
JMB Justin towed a Chrysler 300C from Detroit to St. Louis with the 4.10 rear gears. Didn't hurt anything and didn't burn up his OEM clutch. Just gotta be careful.
