Actually, the money paid out to Nardelli was much more.
Nardelli was paid $124 million in compensation during his seven-year stint at Home Depot (not counting long-term equity awards, which were believed to worth another $30 million approximately), and then got another $210 million in severance when he left in January 2007.
So, the total earnings for seven years in which Home Depot lost 8% of it's stock price and and its main competitor, Lowes,
doubled its stock price?
Around $364 million for Bob Nardelli, all in.
