Just to add futher to both sides.......

The 1970's Lotus Europa exited the cooling rad into the right hand wheel well, designed for european weather it never gave problems with clogging, despite the amount of crap on our roads. However after a bit of use the rad did start to corrode......salt...water etc. I know....I have one of the little "gems"....not much power or speed to contend with, but Colin Chapman usually made good design decisions

On the front mount, my GTS uses the front mounted intercooler with the cooling rad incorporating the oil and power steering coolers. Approx 1000bhp and no cooling problems after over 10 laps of Silverstone flat out in practice and in the 2006 UK Time Attack series
