One of the panel guests on Meet the Press yesterday brought up a good point about how, even though they both seem to be completely self appointed spokesman for the liberal/populist left, it's the media that goes to them when these kinds of stories break out for their reaction and helps to perpetuate their perceived leadership status. Hence, if media outlets stopped paying those two doucebags lip service they'd have little standing in the political arena.
