The correct way to look at it is Miles Per Gallon per Passenger. Americans like to drive alone.

A fully loaded Airbus A-340 gets about 30 miles per gallon, per passenger!

A V-6 Toyota Camry would be about the same with ONE person in it.

With 4 people that works out to 120 MPG per person.

I hope my math is right!
