My in-laws have a church near their home for the last 6 or so years; the pastor was Father Rodney (Rev. Rodney L. Rodis), a nice man who came from the Philippines. In the years that they went and took our children when they were visiting, Father Rodney was an engaging individual who loved children.

We learned the other day that Father Rodney has been charged with stealing $600,000 from the church and was living with a woman he called his wife and three children.

My in laws were contacted by authorities because 40 of their checks had been deposited into the account he had setup in the churches name but was using as his own personal account.
