Some key things to keep in mind:

"Boost controller off" really has no meaning of power. It depends on how heavy of springs you currently have in the car. You may be running 18psi springs in there and that would be your ambient, dead-zero, bottom line boost level.

Gary ran this exact setup you are referring to, and did not break out of the tens. Norm has that covered by over a half a second in the 1/4. The street may be a different story, but on the strip where elapsed time is all that matters.....the all motor viper would be out front.
I agree with what you are saying, And i understand what you mean about the boost controller. What i meant to say i guees is a car like that with mid 700's in the rwhp department(low boost) running against norms car wich i think makes around that naturally aspirated. No dought when it comes to driving BIG GUN can cut a 60 foot mark like no other. Thats why they are running times quiker than cars with more horsepower. Doing more with less has always been what that car is about. But it would be intresting to see how it faired on the street from a high speed roll against a turbo car with similar power. Maybe NORM can chime in if he has had such an expereince>
