A friend of mine got some info on the new viper as well, and got to see CAD drawings of it. He was told of 600plus hp, but they were having BIG problems getting the car to hook.

As for the STI claims of 0-60, I'm sure they will turn on some launch control, and stop you from doing a serious AWD launch. Much like the Mitsu.
