Towards the end of his internship, he got a ride in one of the test mules. They had him up to 194 MPH in fifth gear at a reported half to 3/4 throttle. He reports that the engines did sound different than the standard V-10 in a good way (more Norm's Lingenfelter Viper-like) and that back to back rides with stock Vipers and Z06s showed the new car to be in a whole other league of performance. That is all I remember when I asked him about it 3 or 4 weeks ago.

I hope this is all true info. It would be great to put the Viper back on top. How about they put a REAL rollbar in the new Viper?
