The biggest scam which I still can't believe hasn't been investigated was the local place where the Blue Jays play.
The 'Rogers Center' used to be called the SkyDome. The SkyDome was hyped to the city of Toronto and the province and the taxpayers money came rolling in.

The building cost $580 million US to build.

It sold in 2004 for $25 million!! That year, Carlos Delgado made almost that much in his base salary.

I guess regarding my own situation I just put too much faith in people. A handshake, an announcement to a room that they will sponsor the team. Doesn't that shit mean anything any more?
It sucks when people commit to sponsoring a kid's sports team and backs out, sucks even more when he tries to play the hero in front of others. But it really sucks for the kids who need someone to pay for dues, uniforms, ect. so they can play. For years I sponsered 2 kid's soccer teams cause others backed out.
