That's the funny thing about "overrated". In-n-Out doesn't spend a cent on marketing and everyone talks about them. McDonalds spends a few billion and the only time they make headlines is when they don't meet the Street's number or somebody ends up with a McRat.
The real bittersweet story here is had the stars aligned a little differently a few years ago, I could have been in the line of succession to run In-n-Out.
