The kid will be fine. If an adult was hit by a vehicle going fast enough to toss a kid 70 feet the adult would be dead. Kids are resilient in every aspect.

There are a couple of kids on my street I'd like to test your theory out on. All the kids in my neighborhood think the only purpose of the street is a place for them to play on. I had quite a scare a few years back because this one neighbor parks their full size van on the street. Well, a kid who was probably only 3 or 4 jumped out from in front of it just as I was passing by. Of course they were too short to see until just as they ran out from the front of the van. I could easily have hit them and I was not even speeding. To top it off I think the law in Michigan says the driver is ALWAYS at fault if they hit a kid under the age of 5 or something like that.
