Not exactly a Carrie moment, but still pretty freaky. I immediately thought I had somehow sprung a leak (getting older and not sure if that is part of it or not) but there was nothing. Wife and kiddies are freaking out a little as well. No tall buildings or anything above us - only sky. We figured it had to have been a bird, although I immediately looked up when the drops hit (even before I looked at the drops themselves) and don't remember seeing anything but clouds.
So, I went to the nearest bathroom and washed up and that was that. In all of my 43 years wandering around this planet I can safely say I have never had blood rain down on me. Glad to get that "first" out of the way and not necessarily looking for seconds. Still trying to figure out how a bird (assuming that was the case) would be bleeding and flying unless it was sick. So just in case I got a direct dose of something nasty, be sure to name it the Y2K5SRT Epidemic of '06.  |
