Well put.. as for your other question the whistle is barely audible until WOT then it sounds unreal!! heat soak robs power buy decreasing the density of air into the motor. the cooler the air and fuel entering the motor the more power can be achieved with less chance of detonation or (pre ignition). which also allows you to run more advanced timing to achieve the same thermal load.
