Re: A general observation about Viper ownership

That picture was taken at a local race event. I was asked to be the pace car for a 5K run. After that they asked to have the car on "display" for people to look at, which wasnt a problem. Kids and adults had lots of questions which I was more than happy to answer.

The "kid" in the picture had been walking with his dad (same shorts). He stopped dead in his tracks to take a look at the time I was taking a couple photos.

There were also some kid races where they asked again if I would be the pace car. This was funny becuase the races were like 50 yards. When the first shot was fired, I looked in my rear view mirror and saw all these kids running at my car! They had a contest to see who could "touch" it first, in my suprise I chirped the tired and they loved it. Each race after that was to see is anyone could catch the car.

It was a great day to be a Viper owner - so many kids go to sit in and play around the car. It was a blast!

I've owned a few Vettes (the latest an '01); but the reaction is nowhere near the same. If you havent owned a Viper, you dont know what I mean (no offense, 95yellow; just two different animals).
