After that, there's plenty of rubber left, but they are significantly slower. Not sure about tire softening compounds, but that might help.

I'm looking to just track them for fun and save my street tires. I've got 8 days on my Pilot Sports...they are shot even with a ton of tread.
I've an extra set of rims I was thinking of just throwing on the slicks and using them for HPDE. Just want to be safe and was unsure if after weekend I'd run a risk of them being toast. If they have 80%-90% in them after a few events I think I'd still be happy.
