Took my eldest back to college tonight (he works weekends back here) and arrived to a very crowded dorm: Apparently one of his fellow freshmen on his floor had a fatal stroke as he was walking out the front door of the dorm. Literally dropped dead on the spot. When we got there he had already been taken to the hospital (DOA) and grief counselors were talking to the kids as they arrived. A lot of stunned faces in that lobby.

Figure that kid had to be all of 18 or 19 years old. A tragedy to be sure, and definitely one that makes you pause and examine your own life a little bit more.
