1950's-60's were not all that long ago, in 2 or 3 more generations it may be that way but its not that way today. If a brother wants to say that word he earned the right but that word coming out the mouth of a white man still sparks resentment at the context in which it was used by the white race. You don't have to like it and you don't have to understand it but it is what it is.
Look I'm not trying to be an asshole but the word is offensive. If you had the balls to ask the brothers on this site their level of offense taken to the word comin out your boys mouth, you might just feel like a real asshole.
If speaking the truth on what would happen should he utter that word on the streets pisses you off then I would encourage you to go get in the viper and give it a try.
