Had 3 vettes in a row...last one was 2002 Z06...really a splendid machine and wonderful gas mileage...Ready for a change and very disappointed with the look of the C6 (even the new Z06). So bought 2002 GTS...It's my only ride...drive it everywhere...everyday. I am not a racer...have at best average driving skills and yet have found the GTS a very friendly machine and actually more comfortable than the Z06. It is however a very thirsty beast but it's a worthy trade-off for such a beautiful automobile...and yes the cool-factor is enormous.

I have heard that the 2003 model Viper is even more refined and forgiving although I find it has lost some of its brutish appeal. The 2002 GTS seems quicker than the 2002 Z06 and is definitely quick enough for my daily driving.
