Re: Ferrari vs. Lamborghini

I've read this and I basically agree. Comparing a 2003 Murcielago to a 1993 Diablo is really night and day though. I love the German influences incorp into the car. The fit-n-finish of my car is what sold me over a 6.0 Diablo I already had on deposit. That car was a beautiful, low miles, flawless example but as soon as I sat in the Murcielago I was sold (for nearly $60,000 more). The story goes that when the Germans got together with the Italians to design the Murcielago they said "you do the engine and exterior and we will handle the rest". It shows. My car is perfect (through it could drop 250 lbs and use some more HP!).

If I could choose ANY car to own... of any in existence... it would be a Ferrari Enzo. I haven't driven one yet but I have sat in it and it's an amazing car. A Class above any Lamborghini... Class above any sports car period.

The rest of the current Ferrari line-up??? Yawn. I mean you park my car next to any 360 and its a joke. Much like parking a GTS next to any Z06 "hey that's a nice Vette parked next to the VIPER!". The Murci bests it in every way. I have hung out with a few 360 owners and each went crazy over the Murcielago. Each, including one with several mods, watched me go by-bye on the interstate as well. You'll rarely hear me brag about street racing... and this was hardly racing... I mean it wasn't even close. A Class below the Murcielago for sure.

The 430 looks like an outstanding car... some of the tech involved is world-class and breakthrough... but they packaged it up into that boring, looks just like the 15000 other 360īs on the road, car. For $200,000+??? To me a new 360 is a $140,000 car and that is only because Ford is still getting the insane premium of the GT.

To me, you would really have to be into the racing heritage thing to choose any non-Enzo Ferrari over a Murcielago.
