I buy my cars for me. See all the smack I take for owning Volvos on this board! Lord Forbid I actually post up pictures of my 1956 Series 1 LandRover! However this thread was about a car for Smokin. So the angle would be does Smokin buy cars for himslef or so other people think a certain way about him?
Yeah we bought 70k$ Dodges. What else can compete with them? Where as VW entered into a part of the market segment they aren't usually in. Would you buy a $70k Phaeton over what is available at the Mercedes and BMW stores, add Lexus, Infiniti, Volvo, Audi, even Saab? Much like the Phaeton, if the Maybach fails how fast and hard will the depreciation cycle be? I just wouldn't recommend it yet.
