Re: >>> WIND DRAG WHEN RACING WITH WINDOWS OPEN - TORQUEMONSTER? <<<
Agree, agree, and agree again.
Dump the aero stuff (splitter/wing), roll up windows, lower the car, fold mirrors, don't short shift fourth.
Here's some ideas, but I'm no expert:
- Lose any extra weight in car if possible (no passenger).
- I think cool weather will help you more than them, as long as you still can get traction.
- I would think over-inflating the tires would reduce rolling resistance. What psi, I have no idea. Don't want to lose traction or pose a health risk (blowout), so check with the pro's.
- Make sure your tires/rims are perfectly balanced.
- Light weight rims may help a tinny-bit.
- Skinnies in the front will help with weight and aero, but you probably don't want to run them on the street.
