Why we let Iraq invade Kuwait-

After watching a very informative show on Saddam's Nuclear bomb program on MSNBC it has become quite clear as to why we supposedly "encouraged" Saddam to try to take over Kuwait.

The intelligence we had at the time told us that he could have been less than a year away from developing a nuke. So how better to crater his nuke program? Lead him to believe that invading Kuwait would not bring us off the sidelines, and then pounding the shit out of his country after he trys for a land grab!! We have held the moral high ground by "saving" Kuwait, and we have accomplished our main objective of taking his program offline.

You gotta love the way the US Government handled the whole situation. That was a masterfull piece of work. Now, if only Clinton didn't mismanage the situation after the fact so poorly we would be not be at the crossroads we sit at today. At least Bush has the balls to see it through
