Re: Utahviper Trek and Results....Long

The system is turned on inside the cock pit. The system is activated when boost hits 2lbs(it is adjustable) and then is sequential from there based on the duty cycle of the injector. As the boost increases so does the injector duty cyle; the water/methanol is then increase upto a desired level. The desired level is based on your actual rwhp.

When do you fill it up? It depends on how you drive it. Normally daily drivers should get about 2-3 fill ups to one 3 gallon tank of w/meth. My tank is installed in my rear facia with a filling cap by the stock radio amplifier.

This system is going to be awesome for the creampuffs and those wanting to run more boost. No more adding boost a pumps, complete fuel systems, or bigger injectors. The methanol system is a fuel system in and of itself. Not only does it cool the air but it also adds fuel. For example, if you were running 6lbs of boost and your a/f was 12:1 and decided to run the water/meth system your a/f could be 10:1. You would then use the vec2 to trim the fuel out to 11.-12.1:1 or whatever you want it to be. If you run out of methanol on the road you simply turn the system off and run the car you were using before the methanol.

Now to the good stuff. My intake temp's in 3rd and 4th gear were 200-225 degrees. That is very hot but I am also running 8.5lbs of boost at my elevation. After the installation of the system my intake temps are between 90-120 degrees depending on the gear. According to the kenne bell website every 10 degrees drop in intake temp is worth 1% HP increase. This is like driving your car during a super cold day all the time. I was also able to increase the timing advance to give me more power as well. Before I installed the system I ran 134MPH in LVMS and in san antonio I ran 145MPH. The elevation change did give me some increase in MPH but probably 3-4 at the most.

The system still has some bugs to be worked out but we are going to sell this through authorized dealers only. There will be tuning that will have to be done. It will not be a simple bolt on kit and away you go. It will require a very capable tuner to make sure the a/f are at safe levels and that the timing advance is also at safe levels. This is the reason why we are only going to sell them through authorized dealers.
