Complete drop in for t56 tranny. 1200 hp rated. 3 places that support the shafts. Shafts are made from 300m and gears are 9310. Billet end pieces with cast center. The gears that take the most load are positioned closest to the bearings and the supports. Anybody got 24 grand laying around ;)

It costs around $20k for a good auto setup so $24k doesn't seem all that unreasonable

Spoke to quaife about the trans. Spoke to hollinger about theirs as well. Out of country getting parts gets difficult. Hollinger is 19k without the bellhousing, quaife is 11k without the bellhousing. Ive left messages at taylor race(quaife service center) to get repair costs and service prices and never got a return call. Ive called emco 3 times for same things and they answered everytime.

Now....I need a tranny sponsor so I can take this street tire record :)

From Dan Cota the Racing Director at EMCO:

The DV46 is a purpose built race transmission. There is no other transmission that had been designed for the Dodge Viper Competition Coupe. This unit has a huge torque capacity. The unique positioning of the high torque loaded gears is the secret to success. First through fourth are all mounted next to carrier bearing. The DV46 has a torque capacity in excess of 1,100 foot pounds of torque.

There are two drop gear ratios, one first gear ratio and fifty six second through sixth to choose from. The transmission comes complete with gear oil pump, oil filter, rotary potentiometer, strain gauged shift lever and billet drive shaft slip yoke. Mobile 75/90 synthetic is recommended.
