I think they still use racial profiling even thought they say they don't. I always wait till the last minute to get on the plane, this trick has allowed me to avoid the shoe removal task.

I have to agree it has become a pain in the ass, however, the increased level of security, although not perfect, is still somewhat re-assuring.
