I offered a very favorable private settlement for $28,000 to Larry, which he failed to respond to. He should actually pay me over $35,000 for what I had to pay him and repair bills for damages to my Viper while in his possession. That does not even count the 7% sales tax, around another $2,500, Larry cost me. I would love to never mention Larry again, but I can't let someone essentially steal that kind of money from me.
If Larry wants to come to Ohio to sue me and spend $20-30,000 and have testimony posted - it's a matter of public record - and have me counter sue him, that's his choice. I would prefer that this be settled privately, but Larry appears unable to choose wisely. All I have to do is prove I posted the truth and that will be very easy. Until he returns my $35,000 I will continue to educate automotive enthusiasts even if takes forever.
It's one thing to do a bad build and it's another thing to blame the difference in altitude between Florida and Ohio, the Jeff Morys Striker Heads, not spending another $4,500 for an AEM, etc. when the real cause of not being able to tune it was putting in the wrong length push rods and setting the preload on the valves 2 turns too much. Unfortunately, whoever built my Macedo engine did such a bad job that the new main bearings had to be replaced after only 1,000 miles plus there was internal engine damage all the way up and including the Roe Supercharger, whch had to be rebuilt for around $900. Fortunately, my car as delivered by Macedo for the second time was tuned so badly that I had to pay for a car carrier to transport it to be inspected and repaired by Underground Racing, because if Larry had changed the pushrods to the right length and adjusted to valves correctly, I would have driven it a short time until the engine died - see
