You are probably right. They definitely had their eyes on me when I was on the brakes that hard, running low 11s at under 80 mph.
If I was going to be at the track all the time, I would certainly have the proper safety equipment. Both my Supra and my Cobra were caged, harnessed, etc. I am a big proponent of proper safety equipment on the track.
But for purposes of dispelling any nonsense about Underground Racing cars
only running at private track rentals or
only being driven by UGR, I had to take a shot at making some passes last night during the open test and tune.
I figure I can probably get one more night of racing in before I'm politely asked to meet NHRA rules or not come back. I can accept that......right after I get my 9 second timeslip on pump gas.
